Employee Travel Center Up & Running.

Parents
Parents of all US Airways employees and retirees will pay for travel effective January 1. This is new for East employees and continues status quo for West employees. The service charge fees are $15 ($40 for Europe and Hawaii) for each separate airline in the itinerary and based upon per direction per person fees (plus segment and security fees and international taxes, where applicable). When the new travel system is in place, this separate airline service fee charging will go away and one service charge per person will apply from origin to destination.

I guess somebody forgot to flip the switch

I think it's poorly setup and very, very slow.
Especially if you are on dial up. I have DSL and it was extremely slow.

It was much faster before the change to ETC. I think EVERYONRE is trying it out. I tried early am East coast time and it was better. It's really pretty slick. We've had it for awhile at US East.

The US side is just like it was before, and the HP side clearly has a lot of bugs to be worked out. For example, both DFW-PHX/LAS show only three flights, and when I go to the next page on DFW-LAS, it gives me DEN-PHX routings. Not exactly the route I was looking for. ;)

Funny, I noticed the same thing! A totally different city pair. Im sure they wiill get that fixed soon.

Anyone notice that the MESA -900 (East)flights STILL don't show up? Even when you ask for the HP flights. Maybe the system is saying what we all are saying.....they should disappear.

Anyone notice how the speed has greatly improved. :)

Now if only those pesky Mesa CR9 flights on the east would display.

Whew...I was finally able to get on. It worked fine and seemed ok speed wise also. The only thing I DON'T like is that it is so "OLD US AIRWAYS"! Why couldn't they have come up with more of a "NEW US AIRWAYS" look??? I'm sure in time it will happen. I like the "Compass" way of showing PBT's better I think. There seems to be alot of confusion as to which number "available" seats comes from. The "Actual Seats" or the "Authorized Seats". Anyway...Everyone have a good day!!!

Be careful using your SA1 upgrade (vacation pass). I used one to plan a trip next week and decided to cancel the whole deal and my vacation pass has not been credited as of yet (it's been several hours) and shows only 1 vacation pass instead of 2.

One of the greatest gifts I could give my parents was the benefit of travel as I have a brother in ORD and a sister in MCI. They mean more to me than any domestic partner or spouse. They are on a fixed income and deserve better. I priced GSO-ORD and it was $55.80 for the two of them r/t , which is great!. But A total of $106.40 because of the $50.60 in taxes..almost as much as the ticket!! THIS SUCKS!! You dare give IN-LAWS a better bene? POOR!!! It SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS!!! Oh, did I mention that it SUCKS? Oh, I know, thats they way it was always done on the west. Guess what? It STILL SUCKS!!!

#1...maybe you could consider paying for the tickets for them. I know that my parents are VERY grateful for the privileges that they get. Not sure what you mean by giving "in-laws" a better deal than parents. I think it's the same and they can only be included if you own parents are not using them for whatever reason. I think they have to be deceased.

the seats available are from the actual seats, not sure why they even put the 'authorized to sell' portion in there, its not relevant to nonrev listings, might just be a carry over from the way sabre info is pulled, but again, the 'seats availble' is in relation to the 'actual seats'

Not to worry, I will pay...I wouldn't think of them paying, but a fairer way would be to just pay the taxes.

Are you sure about that? I checked for a flight from PHL-CDG at the airport and it was showing 14 in C open and already oversold in Y by 5 yet 8 more to sell to auth, yet when I got home about 30 minutes later and checked online it was showing 14 in C and still 11 to sell in Y. It was only showing 8 open (to authorized) when I left the airport. I cant believe that 19 people cancelled in that short a time... will have to call someone at work with a Sabre machine and see what happens. Either its to authorized or the system is whacked.

i've talked to res agents while lookin at them, talked to someone in the travel office awhile ago, and compared it to sabre and they all confirmed availble in actual not authorized, but, that was before, maybe they changed it now, can't imgaine why they'd do that, but who knows
caveat emptor
