East 737's get painted

I saw a 737 in new colors yesterday 1/10 out in front of the CLT hanger could not see the N# so don't know if it was east or west metal looked like a -300. Looked good though.

That was 166 (HP), in for Structural work in the wing/fuel tank. Hope to see more West Metal. And it looks great in the new livery.

N505AU arrived at Avborne at MIA on Jan 06 for repaint into the new US Livery with a tentetive complete date of Jan 25. Should be followed by N406US of BoeingBoys last flight fame!

Cheers

LGA777
I say we take up a collection to bribe the painter to add "Pacemaker Capt. Jim XXXXXX" below the left front window of 406.

(With the X's being his real last name, not used here for forum decorum.)
I second that......

When the 737's go for painting does anyone know if they are seriously planning for any kind of reconfiguration? I mean with all this BS and the airbus why would the 737 be excluded? The only reason for NOT converting ours to the west config would be that they probably wouldn't fly to cross each other. Theirs stay out west and ours go no further than DFW I believe. I can see them turning them into tighter sardine cans then they already are. I have to be honest though the galley up front doesn't house much for the size of it.

Doesn't seperating 737s like you say take away some of the planned "snyergies"? I mean, flying a 737 PHL- DFW- PHX- SLC or something like that would make for better a/c and crew utilization? Just wonderin.....

We better hope they pull out all the Life Vests. On May 1st The LV's will be apart of all live demos. Every Leg! BTW the West 737's have no Life Vests. So this will not apply to them.

I feel that the 737 trips should be built as mentioned. We definately could do that. It just seems that all this nonsense is revolving around the airbus yet the 737 has not been mentioned. You'd think they WOULD change it considering that those planes fly so many lets a day. What a better chance to screw your FF than putting 8 seats in. Seems to be the way. (that I don't agree with).

In the east the 737's do equipment subs to Nassau, Freeport, and Montego Bay. We also need life vests since we fly over water routes to and from Florida too.

It was always odd to me that there was no plan to standardize the 737 cabins. The east 737 has 4 more bu then west does not have 734s. There has been no talk about standardizing the 757 either.

The west 757 has more F seats!

I say we put in the extra 321 and 320 F seats we have now in the west 733s and east 757s

They are still smelly rustcans only now in a paintjob thats cheesier than gouda wrapped mozzarella.

ALL US Airways a/c are LV equipped, even the 190.

So wait, now we have to demo the lifevest on EVERY flight? Wow. I better get off Flica and check my CATCREW messages lol... LV demos are funny there is just no way to do the inflation tubes without feeling like Traci Lords

Only 8 FC seats and NO FRIGGING closets on those either.
I understand the desire that there be a closet, but they are a bottleneck during boarding. Everyone wants to use it. Close it after first class boarding is mostly complete, then when you open it later, someone sees this and wants to put their things as well.
