I never said she wasn't, after she was done with the airbii, they had no need for her, so Rocky sent her to CLT base to spy on the workers.

Why the immediate label of "dragon lady"? If this individual is good at their job, why the negative nickname?

Grasshopper, yours is not to question. Until your inner Chi is that of a Siegel, it will be a mystery.

I'd like some TaiChi....wait.......

Isn't this SBC...Starbux...Oh well..I must go examine my inner self...

FWIW, I have met Linda several times and always found her to be very nice indeed. I know several people who have worked with her and they speak highly of her. Given what I know and have heard UAIR is fortunate to have her back. I have never, until now, heard of her being a "dragon lady".

Don't try to defend her, she may not need it. Just look at who started the post and go figure.

Typical, management sticking up for management.

All I know is after she was done with the Airbus intergration, she was sent to CLT base maintenance and all she did was walk around and spy on people and report back to Gangwal himself. No title, no job responsibilites, did not report or answer to any local management, the nickname given to her by the workers in the hangar was Dragon Lady.

I've been union. I've been management. I choose to walk the side of educated and logical. Not many have that ability. She works hard and smart.

Pineybob: Accurate response. Fear of job scope unproductivity; fear of individual performance appraisal.

Management or not, I have one question to the "Non Management" folks here regarding her "spying"

If you are performing your duties correctly and in a timely manner what would you have to fear from her observations?

I am "observed' by senior management almost weekly. These folks have my job in their hands, I am skilled at my job and welcome them. Why would I be afraid unless I had something to hide?

PB's reply is 110% accurate. If you're doing your job, why should you worry about being watched? This applies for both Management and non-Management.

And if you're doing your job really well, you might end up even teaching your superiors a thing or two...

Maybe those of you who dont work for US should get a job with them to see just how poorly they treat their employees. The person in question is brutal to work for and work with. She has very little respect for "line wokers" and treats them with didain and disrespect. The expression "walk a mile in my shoes" applies here. BOB PINEY maybe , just maybe if u were a US employee u'd "get it"!!! Food for though folks.. I AINT t a fun place to work... ANY place, including CCY is a MESS!!!

Her name in CLT-BASE MAINT was "The black widow." This was perfect since she would slink around in her black leather skirt and dark coordinates. Nobody knew what she was up to or why she was here.

However, I did have the chance to speak to her personally from time to time and I will say that she had a good sense of humor. Linda seemed to be on the ball most of the time. Sure she came with all sorts of credentials but she was Chris Doan's favorite associate......and we all know what a LOSER he was......an absolute hinderance to CLT and it's performance. Good riddence!!

She once worked in the engineering dept. at UAL. Was told by an insider that she left after a mistake she made that if not caught would of cost many people their lives.

Just like my fellow workers that performed their duties while installing the upgraded cockpit doors on all of U's fleet....Then told, great job but here's your lay off papers..!! Hit the street...!!

Wake up, "performing your duties" has nothing to do with it...!! I'm sick of hearing, just do your job and everything will be okay. Don't insult me like that. <_<
