DOJ approves SWA and FL deal

Love <3 it !!!! They combined us on here. Very cool. Thank You Forums. On a side note, an exciting day in ATL this afternoon. Great turn out of people and it was like a Pep Rally! Funny part was... the Pilot apparently got lost trying to find the Hangar so Mx went out and towed him in. Now the fun begins with integration... Lots'a work ahead but exciting all the same. At least now we can talk with each other and plan ahead. One Luv !!!!!
More than 1,000 AirTran employees and others gathered at the carrier’s hangar at Hartsfield-Jackson International to greet the Southwest contingent that flew in on an AirTran jet after deal documents were signed in Dallas.
Southwest-AirTran deal done, now work begins...ONE LUV !!!

This being the largest merger yet in WN's history add to that the 40th Celebration happening in mid June, I know that HDQ has their hands full. Celebrating Southwest, adding AirTran, new aircraft both the -800 and retention of the 717's, cities, near international destinations and the many, many hints at the Aloha state. With that said, I have wonder what plans are in the works.

New paint job/livery? It took them 30 years to change the setting sunset and get the decent Canyon Blue.

Announcements regarding which, I hope most, of the cities are retained.

Expansion with Volaris and an agreement to fly into Mexico itself and add Canada.
We have had many changes and we continue to evolve. ;) :D

... and to add to that, What Mike and Brian said to us on May 2, Hang On for a Wild Ride. This is going to evolve in to an awesome Company!
<like it isn't already> We are still sort of running under the Radar but there is a lot going on in the planning stages... the recent re-structure of Upper Management, the fact that they have retained some great people from FL says a lot. I don't know where I'll land in all of this but I look forward to the 'Landing', where ever it may be. :) LOL, I'm too old to argue over a job <G>
