Thank You Sharon... Look forward to working with you some day in the future. You have always been a Class Act on this board. :)

This being the largest merger yet in WN's history add to that the 40th Celebration happening in mid June, I know that HDQ has their hands full. Celebrating Southwest, adding AirTran, new aircraft both the -800 and retention of the 717's, cities, near international destinations and the many, many hints at the Aloha state. With that said, I have wonder what plans are in the works.

New paint job/livery? It took them 30 years to change the setting sunset and get the decent Canyon Blue.

Announcements regarding which, I hope most, of the cities are retained.

Expansion with Volaris and an agreement to fly into Mexico itself and add Canada.

Love <3 it !!!! They combined us on here. Very cool. Thank You Forums. On a side note, an exciting day in ATL this afternoon. Great turn out of people and it was like a Pep Rally! Funny part was... the Pilot apparently got lost trying to find the Hangar so Mx went out and towed him in. Now the fun begins with integration... Lots'a work ahead but exciting all the same. At least now we can talk with each other and plan ahead. One Luv !!!!!

Best Wishes to everyone!!!

From me also...Thank you Forums for combining us.

Congratulations on the merger. AirTran people...if any of you opposed this merger, come back and tell us a year from now if you still oppose it. As an AA employee, I am continually impressed by the fact that I have never met an unhappy WN employee--or if they were, they hid it well.

Now, the following statement is pure, unadulterated and unsubstantiated gossip. (I hate to spread gossip, but I can't think of anything else to do with it. It's kinda like fertilizer and money. It's useless unless you spread it around.)

A friend of mine who is a WN captain told me that someone in management in Dallas had told him that you will not recognize Southwest in 5-10 years. Equipment additions, international routes. Maybe even a First Class cabin!!!! :D

Jiim, I've said it many times, since Gary Kelly took over, there is a new a Southwest and I like it. Herb and Colleen made a ton of money and, dare I say, afraid of stepping outside that box they created all money. Why should they? Growing company, happy employee's and Customers that luved them.

One of the biggest disappointments to me was the exclusion of the Biz seat that AirTran uses. For a reseasonable add on from a Biz Select, pay an additional 50 bucks for a DAL/HOU flight and there will be a standby list a mile long.

In my humble opinion, most other carrier's have downgraded their first class product, because they are chasing the freq. flyers buying cheap tickets who then demand an upgrade.

Next big hurdle is a replacement for the 737 that has the capacity and range for Southwest to be the commanding force in the industry, not just domestic.
