DFW mechs?

Those items are not written into our contract to be traded for more work rule changes.
Any more suggestions ?

Who says it has to be something removed from the contract? As long as it's a cost savings to the positive, and a schedule change shouldn't be a cost, if done correctly.

Because contract negotiations at SWA always work that way.
Nothing is given for free without giving something the company wants.
The things you mentioned can be stopped at any time the company wants without giving us any contract work rule changes.
Ask anyone who has been there. You can go in and ask for anything you want but they will say "Maybe, if you give us back .........."
You want to give them relief on the 4th line, how about paid rest, or an extension on foreign outsourceing or any of a hundred other things that they want from us.
Nothing ever gets into our contract without tradeing for something the company wants.
Ask any ALR.
Even if it is cost neutral to the company, it is still a QOL benefit to us and the company will ask for something in exchange.

True. at most stations the majority of the workforce is on gravs. good luck finding someone on days or eves to trade with.
So you can still trade with the guys on graves that have days off opposite of yours to get some relief.
Not 7 on 7 off, but something at least.

Our negotiations and our (SWA mechanics) individual decisions are not controlled by AMFA national.
In the other unions, members have limited or no control over the decisions that effect them.
Whatever SWA mechanics decide to do to protect our seniority has no effect on AMFA national or their organization. Or on you for that matter.

Amfa gives us the autonomy to control our own destiny.
AMFA will do just fine without you B) xNUT.
Enjoy your time off and stay out of our business.
You didn't work even one year at SWA.

I appreciate the 'xNUT' euphemism, very professional. :p
