Why are you insulted? You chose to take a job that doesn't require a college degree even though you have a college degree. Why is it insulting to point out that the job doesn't require a college degree?

I think your post is insulting to ditch-diggers.

Well when you think about it if you have 2 people and one is less qualified and/or less educated then the other yet they both have the same job for the same pay it would seem the less qualified and/or educated has overachieved his coworker.

For the baggage handlers, perhaps you have a handler with no education would would otherwise be digging ditches and would be much happier with some insurance, some benefits, and some motivation.

Would you rather dig a ditch from 8-5 with weekend's and holidays off or throw bags for an airline where your expected to schedule your life around the needs of the airline?

I remember talking to some of the rampers at LAX, beings they were part time they'd come in around 9:00AM work for 4 hours go home than they'd have to come back at 6:00PM and work another 4 hour shift.

Gee... that sounds like the kind of job I want... where do I sign up?

Or, the college educated person got a degree in liberal arts or something that doesn't qualify him for a specific skill. Or, maybe he just isn't very good at his chosen profession, or there is no money in it.
