Of course TWU has been in contact, they need your dues. As the affiliates of the AFL-CIO continue to leave seeking representation, the TWU will do whatever they are ordered to do
Buck, The point I was stating was that, Delle clearly stated that because of lack of card drive at MCI he would not spend any money promoting AMFA. With that being said and passed along to the AMFA supporters here, and Im sure you would feel the same, that if Delle doesnt feel the need to include the "AMFA faithfuls" at MCI, why should they continue to support AMFA? Sure Tulsa has more members, but also the drive for AMFA is failing miserably there also so why not try to bolster support from MCI? We beleive, AMFA failed to distinguish what they most needed, ........AMFA didnt gain at Tulsa and while promoting that drive he " stabbed his faithful supporters in the back at MCI
It should not be Delle that spends AMFA money ( the members ) on MCI or TUL or any station in the American Airlines system. It should be the grassroot effort of the workers to replace the representitive, because they have not provided the representation they are paid to provide. This from the Top down mentality must go. Under the AMFA constitution calls for the member to be on the top of the union structure.
So the position of MCI is that, it does not matter what type of representation you receive, but whether or not Delle personally needs you?
How do you feel about Sonny Hall not attending the TUL debates? Did Sonny Hall make a personal appearence at MCI to defeat AMFA?
There is one thing I want to make very clear.
This is not just about TUL and MCI, there are other stations in the system. We commonly refer to them as the line. (except AFW) It is they who will at some point in this process who will finally grow tired of the anti-union position of the TWU Local 514 and they will do what ever is required to continue their profession.
