Delays: to err is human, to persist in error is diabolical
Washington, USA - The Transportation Department against unacceptable discomforts
(WAPA) - Last weekend, the US Transportation Department announced a new investigation aimed to evaluate the several flight delays registered at national airports, accusing airlines to notify timetables even if they know in advance not to meet them.
A spokesman of the agency in charge with conducting this investigation, expected to be ultimate within next June, declared that 41% out of the 160 telephone calls to airlines aimed to have information about the registered delays was unsuccessful.
The survey will have the purpose to apply severe fines in order to prevent other similar cases. According to "New York Times", one of the airlines involved will be quite certainly US Airways. Only last February, in fact, its 154 flight from Philadelphia to San Francisco registered a delay of almost 15 minutes 100% of the time.
