Dear Mr. Frizzell

I don't care WHERE AA is able to get the story printed, the magazine ITSELF shows it as a year old. That's good enough for me until they change it.
Despite the fact that the magazine itself has distributed a press release clearly indicating this news is relevant to 2003?

And a press release from a third-party source - and one that lauds other airlines and hotels, even - constitutes AA "getting a story printed?"

Uh, ok.

I read it and read it and did not find anywhere where AA won best domestic airline.
I believe AA was the highest ranked domestic (domestic meaning US carrier) in the overall best carrier survey. There may not be an category titled "best domestic," though.

They were rated highest "economy" domestic but there is also a best "low-cost" carrier. How does best "economy" over-rate best "low-cost" and automatically win best overall in AA's eyes? It is a crude mis-representation of the award in typical AA fashion.

It is what it is! It's obvious there are a LOT of sore losers out there!
Barely even worth responding to, but what I have stated is that AA is STATING FALSE INFORMATION by saying they are the best domestic when that is not the award. They expanded the award with their own terms. No sore loser...just see reality. From what I can see, Southwest is the best based on AA's logic. Actually do some research and look at the awards rather than getting spoon-fed from AMR. Reality sucks when you take the AA lies away.

If it makes you feel better go ahead and toot WN's horn. They won best "low cost carrier"!! Good for them, they deserve it, but this is the AA forum and AA also did quite well much to its detractors dismay! B)

"Best Domestic Carrier" was not the award and is misleading and a lie. That is my point. I couldn't care less if AA is better than others...it is a matter of AA telling untruths about the award they won. I repeat...rather than use emotions, look at the actually awards and pull together some facts for once.

You really are a sore loser. Explain to me how being the highest-ranking US-BASED carrier in the BEST OVERALL category is trumped by "best economy carrier."

The set "BEST OVERALL CARRIER" certainly contains the entire population of the set "best economy carrier"; WN has a chance, if they are indeed the best domestic carrier as you so urgently believe, to be ranked at the top of the best overall category. In this case, they were not. So, get over it.

Imagine the leading rusher in the AFC not having as many yards as the NFL's third-leading rusher - he'd be ranked #1 in the AFC, and obviously somewhere below #3 overall. Yet, apparently you'd still argue that the fact that he's the AFC's #1 rusher is more important than him behind somewhere below the entire NFL's #3 spot.
