Airlines put jets on diet

Passengers flying through the alphabet soup of airports like LAX, DFW or JFK might notice airlines are fixated on another three-letter designation: MPG.
"Once they start, where do they stop?" asks Terry Trippler, who runs a passenger advocacy Web site. "Would they save a little more fuel if they fly even slower?"
God forbid you take an extra ten minutes to get to your destination and save money doing it...
