Sometime ago, around 89-90, TC ran a survey across Canada that was "voluntary". My boss volentold all of us engineers to go and fill out the survey - it was done in what is now the ATC tower in YYC.
The survey asked all kinds of questions about your drinking and dope-taking habits. Obviously no pilot would ever admit to any of these habits so as AMEs we were sure if we answered them honestly then TC would think the only ones who drink are the workin'' folk.
Therefore we all answered the questionaire as if we were the worst drinking, dope-smoking cocaine-sniffing bunch on the planet - all this at work as well as at home. Then as occupation we filled in pilot.
