Found this on an amfa website and thought I would share it. It is in regards to an amfa contract at NWA. . .

"But in our seal to line our pockets with a well deserved increase in compensation, we paid little attention to the nuts and bolts of the language. . .

Many aspects of the new language took many members by surprise. . .

The majority of these inquiries dealt specifically with contractual language. After thoroughly answering our members questions one comment that we have often heard was "How did we let this language get in our contract?" Well, the answer to that question is a relatively easy on, "WE" voted for it."

A bit of disgruntledness perhaps at an amfa carrier?? Say it ain't so!!
HMMMMM?

Funny isn't it they don't respond, Delle probably told them not to, in their sleep.

Here is another one for ya! (If we have to leave this company at least it will be with our heads held high) Be Strong...! This is a quote from AMFA Local 33 president.

AMFA the YUGO of the labor movement...! Where job protections mean YOU GO..!

I think we could easily compare contract language and letters of agreement, show the specific differences, issue by issue to the membership and kick your asses on that debate alone.

In fact, thanks for the idea for our next handout, we will put together a direct language comparison and let the members decide which union has the best language.

Thanks again for the excellent idea for campaign material.
Any other suggestions you have would be helpful.

Sure. The right to dissent and to act upon that dissent is a casic element of DEmocracy. The fat that AMFA members have internal avenues is why, even though there is dissent AMFA has never been voted out by any group of mechanics. With AMFA they can vote out everybody, with the TWU we can only vote out Local officers which is pointless because the International controls the contract.

And what. . .are we suppose to be scared Informer??? I can hear it now. . .amfa will protect the profession, amfa will protect the profession, amfa will protect the profession, oh, and we can vote out our leaders. That's about the extent of your debating Informer. WORDS are useless unless you have something to back them up with and so far amfa has squat!! Their record speaks for itself. Nothing you can say will change the damage they have caused. . .NOTHING!!!!!

So you go ahead and keep taking cheap shots at the TWU while amfa's record is speaking volumes!!!
