This started with three paragraphs of outrageously blatant batshit crazy paranoia, fear mongering and hate you posted. Not a word of it true, factual, or even remotely substantiated.

How do you know this?

How do you know this?

I read it

It was barely sane

Not one thing in it was factual

All opinions, predictions. Of the worst fear mongering kind.

None of which are even remotely true, or have any basis in reality.

Keep that mindset, you'll excel here.....

Pockets of rebellion... Outrage from a few. And it truly is, proportionally, a few. One of whom is home schooling out of a 1920's spelling book.

A parent's right, yes. Smart? Not so much....

Interesting that the articles you post cite resistance in states that already have abysmal educational systems.

Nothing much else to see here, and I read them all.

Some criticisms... Some probably valid, some probably reactionary and knee jerk responses to change.

Some patently false.

Like that it is being forced on the states, while at the same time -some- states are not adopting them.

I agreed that there would be some criticisms in the beginning. I even listed most of the ones in your references.

You have not provided anything to support your original post, or the claims you personally made re the subjects covered or the states being forced to adopt CC.

Incentivized, or bribed even if you want to spin it it the worst possible light, is not the same as forced.

I think it is really what it is. An effort to help improve education in math and science. With standards and accountability.

I am really not qualified to judge its effectiveness. My experience, training, and education is pretty much all aviation, not K-12 education.

Are you?

Is yours?

So, let's see...

Still.not.one.iota.of.evidence.that.Any.thing, even.One.thing, in your original post is valid.

And yes, I do read, a lot. Good stuff too. Not just news articles that satisfy my urge for confirmation of how I feel.

Recently finished War and Peace again. Working on Crime and Punishment now.

Do you?

This was good too... And it is free...

BTW, how do you know all this is BS ?

I didn't say all this

I said the three paragraphs of your original post

I didn't say it was BS

I had a far better, and more accurate description of it.

Ever read Paine?

Or, Twain, even?

Any good bio's of the founding fathers? Say, McCollough on Adams?

Any of the good histories of the revolution? (Either one...)

Any of the classics?

Any thing about the Greeks, or the civilizations in the east?. You know, the ones that had advanced knowledge of logic, reason, science and mathematics - not to mention classic literature, art and music - centuries before the geniuses of your religion declared it all heresy and plunged the western 1/4 of the world into the dark ages.

Yeah, some of the most advanced were what we refer to today as Arabs.

Anything other than the right wing propaganda you regurgitate here?

Anything at all?

Sooooo....

Guess the Greek civilization wasn't all that, if they fell so easily.....................NEXT!
