Rumor has it that our code share partner United is trying to steal our Embraer lawn darts from us has anyone else heard this. :(

Our Embraer lawn darts? We don't own any- we have CRJs (PSA) and the upcoming E170s- is this what you're referrring to? Would they out a 70 seater at mainline? I've only ever heard the ERJ145 called the lawn dart and/or pencil jet due to its super skinny, pointy appearance.

The USX ERJs are operated by Chautauqua, Trans States, and Mesa. Trans States and Mesa also operate as United Express. I say they can have them!

Another current rumour is that Shuttle America will do United Express out of IAD. They must be getting really desperate. At this point there is no difference between any of the legacy carriers as they are all operated by the same people- the same handful of crap commuters.

Okay lawn darts was bad termiology. I was refering to the embraer 170 a/c order. the rumor I heard was that United was trying to weasel into our order to procure these same a/c.

Interesting... would they try to place them at affiliates (Air Willy etc) or at thier own company? Keep in mind UA has no wholly owned airlines, and thier F/A scope says that all UA-owned aircraft are to be operated by UAL seniority list F/As. Of course, that doesnt stop UA from putting 70 seaters at Express carriers, but don't those airlines usually provide thier own aircraft?

Light Years--

What the hell is your logo??

LOL -- it's hi-larious!!!

Its me expressing my feelings through interpretive dance- anonomously of course, so as not to offend a certain airline. ;)

Actually, is a preview of the new space-age flight attendant uniform for MidAtlantic Airways, complete with face shield to hide embarrassment of making 12,000 a year.

In all honesty I'm not quite sure where it originated but I get a kick out of it.

UA's pilot contract (via a side letter signed by former MEC chair Whiteford reportedly without the knowledge or consent of the MEC) allows the E170 to be flown by the affiliate carriers (SW, AW, Mesa). Obviously the company wanted to add the jet to the portolio, or they wouldn't have sought the letter.
