Difficult decisions facing US employees. But after watching the video there appears to be a major disconnect between what he said and what most of the people on this site say about him. He is pretty open and honest and looks like he has thought this through. I wish all of you luck. The choice looks simple to me, but I hope people's emotion and hate don't cloud their judgement. People are blaming Dave, but if Herb were at US, I can't imagine him saying one thing different than what Dave said.

Dave talked for an hour and didn't really say anything. I guess that Herb, being a lawyer, could do that too.

Actually I thought he said a lot in an hour. The questions for this poll are taken straight from that video.

This is what it SHOULD say:

What is your choice?
Vote for reductions in salaries, work rules and benefits [ 1 ] [25.00%]
Vote for no changes in current contract [ 3 ] [75.00%]
I don't care [ 0 ] [0.00%]

To run a poll with the wording you used is foolish and usually works opposite of your desired effect. You don't really work for SW, do you?

These are the only three options available. Period.

Glad you agree it was non-biased.

You can't change decades of the union entitlement mentality overnight. Every one of these union posters on this board would fail to see a train coming if they were walking down the tracks and the horn was blowing. They truly don't get it. They don't understand what is going on and frankly, they don't want to. It is far easier to continue with the entitlement mentality and make up silly phrases like "the concession stand is closed" than it is to take an honest look at what is going on and make a reasoned and rational decision. While the union posters on this board certainly have a right to their opinion, I wouldn't take their opinions too seriously because they are not a representative majority of the union members who work for the company.

So pay me the exact SWA employees wages and Benifits.
I will take it ( A RAISE ) to help the company.

Want me to be like a SWA employee, TREAT ME LIKE ONE ! ! ! !

By the way, I forgot to add something. Reading these boards is a great form of entertainment. It's not quite as riveting as a good episode of Seinfeld, but in a way it has the same humorous lack of common sense and logic when the union posters come out of the woodwork.

Spin Doc: You are WRONG. Very Wrong. I am out there on the front line. Are YOU????????? This poll is stupid.

Spin Doc: Go watch Seinfield and have fun. Why waste your time on here. There are many people on here who are not necessarily Union folks who disagree with the Company.....Keep that in mind. <_<

Yes, the board is entertaining. The sad part is that I started a poll which was nothing but an extract from the webcast and then I get blasted. I worded the answers as closely as possible to what I took from the video.

Good luck to you guys!

Yes, the webcast was great!!!! How did he select the different employee's? Randon......Yea Right!!! When were the different people handed the questions they were supposed to ask? It kind of reminded me of a typical "staged" political event. Do I now wish to give concessions after hearing his speech...NO!!!

You don't get it. This isn't about union posters. Its about how much more bullshit we're willing to put up with from this LIEING company for less and less money. No one wants to throw their job away, but you have to honestly ask yourself when ENOUGH is ENOUGH. My enough meter has gone off the scale, and yes I'm willing to take everyone with me. This lousy company does care one bit about you or your family. Wake up and face reality.
