Changing to American branding

DL hired a key NW client - 3M - who came in and changed the logo out professionally and quickly - almost always overnight.

DL had the fastest and cleanest merger transition the industry has ever seen.

No other airline has done a res system transition as smoothly as what DL did.

Any airline that does things smoothly will make the cut.

But do you think I am going to put what US did with its res system cutover or what UA has done in the same box as what DL did? WN hasn't had any major res system disasters but they are also not fully integrating and continue to operate two airlines because they don't have the systems in place to fully integrate WN and FL.

In contrast, again, in one weekend, DL migrated all NW passenger records to DL's system and the operation went smoothly from that point forward. They have made no excuses about their inventory management systems being fed incorrect data as a result of the integration.

When someone else does the same, we can talk about that. Until then, DL has set the gold standard for res system and revenue/inventory mgmt. systems.
 
Delta has brainwashed their employees for many years. When I worked there in 1978-79, I put in a 40 hr week and made $750/month. No benefits. What a deal! Is it a well run machine...absolutely. The Romans once ruled the world as well as the Brits and Spain.

Now who is brain-washed to believe that they actually are getting something for their union dues?

Appears the DL employees are the ones who are smart enough to get a better deal and not have to pay someone to go begging for them, only to come up empty handed.

Do the 20-30% RR at DL feel special? They brainwash the few they actually pay to think they are special and that people who aren't special like them (RR), get to work for $8.50/hr with no benefits.

...Which was about $2400 in today's dollars...

Those starting out today- assuming they can even get 40/hrs. a week will only enjoy about 75% of the buying power you had...

Since SW is not a "legacy" carrier, they don't fit into WT's picture of "God's creation for the exclusive benefit of DL."

The DL/NW ethnic cleansing would literally happen overnight at each line station. Crews came in on 3rd shift, and changed everything to DL branding in time for the next morning's rush.

...And yes, it did cause quite a bit of confusion amongst the traveling public...
wasn't me.

And there were a half dozen other posts from others about issues related to DL as well.

So apparently there are people who want to talk about DL - or at least throw in comments where they see fit - on threads other than on the DL forum.

SO how about you take up the issue with those who actually committed the "crime."

funny how 700 wants to keep wanting to compare DL to WN but he doesn't want US ramp salaries - which his union negotiated - with ANYONE because if he did it would show how incompetent he and his union have been.

Funny, isn't it?
