Watch out IAM-FLEET. The union will try to make the arbitration "go away" in exchange for a transition agreement. If this happens, it will be a total sell out for East fleet.
ah but your forgetting that these arbitration talks will ONLY help us airways EAST workers , those of us in the west who are not yet covered under the us airways contract won't see a DIME of back pay ... The more time that passes the more WE lose out on the wages we could be earning ...
This is not just a fleet grievance, it is also a mechanic and related, they are not going to negotiate it away, if that was going to take place the grievance would have been dropped and the IAM would not have gone to Federal Court to get the arbitration forced.Watch out IAM-FLEET. This is the typical self preservation mode of the iam. They have to put on a show. If the grievance was dropped the iam would be out. The Sept. date allows the company to get through the summer travel season. The iam will trade some if not all snap back money for head count(dues money). This is not just a fleet grievance, it is also a mechanic and related, they are not going to negotiate it away, if that was going to take place the grievance would have been dropped and the IAM would not have gone to Federal Court to get the arbitration forced.
Funny, are you sure about that?
Lets see I saw no deals from the Airbus, 401K or HMO Major Arbitration cases. There will be no deal on this one either.
Don't let the facts get in your way.
