Well...don't you peoplle know?? It's in there contracts.
Contracts?...THEY demand one(and a very favorable one), and will not "come onboard" without a contract DETAILING everything tiddle about the post they're about assume.
But...how dare you people demand a contract!...................this is exactly what is wrong with corporate America today. The executive compensation has gone completely wild and is out of control.
For some reason, corporations feel outragous compensation/perks is necessary to retain "talent", as it is explained by those defend the practice. The list of those who actually deserve a handsome compensation pkg is very short. Gary Kelley comes to mind. And I'm not sure, but I'll bet, his isn't as frivolous as some would think.
I personally feel like executive compensation should be closely tighted to company performance. THEN we'll se what they're made off...
Instead of millions being paid out to marginal(if that)executves being shown the door by the board.
