My catcrew has not been working properly for the last few days and am wondering if its just me or anyone else is having this trouble. The last couple of days it wouldn't connect all the time and now option 44 to check the open trips is not working. I get a message that says "Tran/Lterm stopped". Anyone else having problems?

I reported it a few hours ago. They are working on it.

Looking at catcrew is like looking at Space Invadors. It's so jacked. Get with the Jetson's Flintstone. 🙄

Why do we still have a system like this? I've shown this to some I.T. friends and they just laughed. They couldn't believe there eyes. They said it could be a point and click windows thing easy.

I like the way you have login again after working on something and then loose it all. You can't even have a backup one screen button...come on

We need to get out of the 80's, Radioshack TRS-80 thinking.

Actually, "TRS-80"s were decades ahead of the present form of "Catcrew", which harkens back to the days of a mainframe computer with thousands of "dumb terminals", or catcrew-like displays. The computers in the east crew rooms are nothing more than "dumb terminals" in catcrew mode, the CPU power being quite wasted, the computer directs keystrokes and the graphics display what the mainframe sends it, something your basic "TRS-80" could pretty easily handle. The first computer to successfully log on to catcrew was a relatively underpowered Apple 2C.

There is no reason catcrew information could not be handled via a "website", other than the rather "swiss cheese version of security" for many browsers, IE being the worst (IMHO). Until it becomes important to management, you will likely not see much change.

Given Tempe’s lack of IT acumen, are you sure you want them to roll out something “new and improvedâ€￾ like QIK over SHARES?
