I have been informed by very high level management team members that the CASM will indeed come down one way or the other. That the IAM is NOT out of the woods. That they have a plan involving ALL facets of the company. And finally that this team is going nowhere.

My reply:

I thought we had the CASMisms all figured out two concessions ago.

The IAM is not out of the woods. Hmmm. Sounds like a threat or something not good for us lowly mechanics, especially the ones despised by management in the burgh.

They have a plan, oh really…AGAIN!!

Oh shucks, I was hoping this management team would be replaced.

yeah,if i can't get rid of heavy in the 3rd circuit courts,i know you won't give anymore concessions so ill go back to BK and get what i want.but maybe it doesn't quite go that way.....maybe you lost all the sympathy you had in 2001.maybe everythings changed since the last BK.maybe uncle sam's tiring of your shenanigans.maybe, maybe ,maybe....see you in court!

I've always been a fan of reducing CASM by increasing S's. Bring planes back from the desert to spread the fixed costs over more seats. Since the employees that would come off furlough have lower seniority, their costs (salaries and bennies) would be even lower than the incredibly low salaries that y'all are currently being paid.

At our airport, daily US flights have decreased from 34 to 13. Total passenger embarkations for all carriers has increased 12% since 2000. Someone else is picking up the load and the income.

Let's hope the plan includes a severe change in the business model.

If they have a plan i guarantee you it isn t worth the slide show it s printed on.

Why.....because once again they have not involved the employees of this
company who would/could do so much to make us a more efficient organization.

At every turn they prove that they are not interested in our low life ideas.
Many have asked Dr. Bonner to replace management but how do we know
that he isn t the root cause of the situation.

I beleive we all need to keep the heat up and the cash register closed.

Chip comments: Bronner told the ALPA MEC that he would pull his DIP financing and liquidate the airline unless ALPA agreed to agree to termiante its DB pension. Allegheny1, you're probably right.
