Calling all furloughed FCTIs

If there are any furloughed FCTIs out there who have not been informed of the two voluntary recalls (Dec 06 and Feb 07) and desire to return to work, you should contact the ground school supervisor immediately. There are 4 or 5 of you out there who LCC is unable to contact. After the second recall, there are two unfilled positions and the wheels are likely preparing to roll for a mandatory recall in the next few days.

If you are one of those FCTIs that did not have a current address on file or you know one of them, please take action asap.

Sorry to be using this board for such a narrow interest....but I must ask if any FCTIs out there know of anyone who might be planning on accepting the forced recall?

Please forgive my ignorance but FCTI's train the pilots?

Wondering if the recall rate will increase (or any intel on pilot recalls in general)

Thanks

well, the east department in 2 recalls went from I believe around 65 to around 95....and it takes 6 months to train up an fcti....so it would appear that someone is eyeballing an increase in training around June/July 2007 timeframe...there's only so many things that can generate training, and add'l pilots on property would seem to be the number one reason.

by the by....three lost fcti's have been found!

FCTI's are Flight Crew Training Instructors. They teach pilot ground school and aircraft procedures before the pilot enters the aircraft simulator training phase.
