California sides with the animal rights nuts

We won't be able to run the Possum Project after all. Sigh!...It turns out that original Cobras are indeed an endangered species that have been literally driven towards extinction. Even if properly subsidized; too few owners are willing to part with enough of 'em, and I'm having no luck so far getting approval for the use of replicas, even those with equal or superior drive trains, suspensions and engines! The Guv-Mint just has no common sense whatsoever where these types of issues are concerned.......

Great idea! I'm willing to immediately get a huge government grant and set up a serious study!!!...although I'm afraid all we'd accomplish (other than pocketing vast amounts of tax payers' money of course) would be to add "fresh" fare to the menu of EastCheats' suggested diner ;)

My car of choice is a GMC Yukon. My favorite roadkill dish is Prius on the grill served with a side of whirled peas. Usually found in the HOV lane creeping along and I find it hard to coexist with the little car covered with liberal bumper stickers.

100% good with that ! That's a perfect example of natural selection in action...and none could argue that the suggested prey is currently any endangered species.......most unfortunately. ;)

Natural selection, I like it. I'm thinking about adding veggies to the diet. Just waiting see one of those Nissan Leafs in the HOV. ;)

I trhought that SUV's were what tree huggers drove to their save the environment protests? Did anybody notice the new species that is showing up? Bikers in scuba gear riding in a group in the road to tick off the drivers during rush hour?

Ummm...a Nissan "Leaf"..? I almost gagged on that..and even had to go so far as to google it, prior to accepting the sad reality of even it's existence! Sheesh! I thank providence I've not been car shopping for awhile, as the very experience might well prove nauseating....

No matter...My vote is now a solid "Weapons Free!" Go ahead and add the veggies! ;)

Off with their frikkin' heads! Sigh!...Such unnatural acts are simply not meant for space within any area dedicated to the glory of the combustion engine! ;)

Chevy has a Volt. when they decide to outlaw gasoline because the state of California has come up with a zero emisson requirement, I'm certainly not going to be driving a Leaf. A Leaf? That's like naming an airline...Song. Who comes up with this stuff?

Ms Tree: "Same folks who tried to sell a Nova in spanish speaking market"

Whatever our differences folks...methinks we can easily agree that such fools shouldn't so much as be trusted with any sharp instruments...or even keyboard access ;)

Ms Tree has a good point. I think the Nova was translated as not going or no go. I have a business degree and took a number of marketing courses. I guess nobody thought of bringing together a Latin American focus group which could have saved the company a lot of trouble..and money.

Back to the Volt vs Leaf. Nissan may have a better product but the names would suggest otherwise. Volt sounds like power and speed. A leaf just flutters down and blows away in the wind after the Volt passes by.
