Seems like the whole thing hinges on whether it was an "Asset Sale" or a sale of the entire division. Legally it makes a huge difference. To those displaced it still sucks.

The 3 RP 170s that are flying are "illegal" in that they violate several US Airways labor contracts.

The arbitrator will rule on whether or not it's an "asset sale" or "change of control", hopefully soon. The first "MAA" employees get furloughed (re-furloughed) on the 15th.

I have never stated what position that I hold within the company. I might be a front line employee or maybe not. You clearly don't understand the sacrifices that each executive has contributed to the company. Don't judge a person unless you have walked a mile in their shoes. You don't even know the $$ for the bonus monies. It is not a very large amount.

Zeus, we all know who you are. Let's face it, while the rest of us gave, you guys took (stole). Very few of you in the executive ranks are worth a retention bonus. If you were so great, how come you didn't get a job in Tempe? Time to go back and work for the politicos or at least call your buddy at that party cruise line in Florida...he's looking for a few pr people.

Maybe. Of course when there is only a couple hundred employees left it won't be much money anyway. I see lay-offs coming and a huge increase in out-sourcing of all departments. It's the LCC way. The End

Well it appears as it the "TODerator" was uncomfortable with my reference. I gave AN EXAMPLE of a US Airways Executive. As I have chastised for revealing names I would like a clarification as to why it's OK for USA320 to drop names all over the place but now I'm fordidden to mention titles, even when used ONLY as examples.

Could it be that US is exerting undue influence? They did with Chris Elliot at USA Today why not US Aviation??
