Bridal gown vanishes from US Airways

More likely a TSA agent then a US Airways employee. They are the ones that actually see inside a bag.

I once had two nice hair peices with dried flowers and ribbons stolen from checked bags. I doubt any ramper would have wanted them but it was a nice gift for any young girls. This happen right after they started with the bag scanning. In 20+ years of travel before I had never had anything taken from my bag, I am cetian TSA did it or in conjuction with an employee.

I have to agree - TSA should also have been looked at. I just flew positive space with a locked bag. (TSA approved). When I got home and opened my bag, there was the card from TSA that my luggage had been "inspected". Well guess what - I had jewely missing. Not expensive stuff but still a $50 necklace and $30 earrings. I had everything - the receipts, the proof of the opening (card) and my luggage claim check. 4 weeks later my claim was DENIED because TSA couldn't prove that one of their employees had done anything wrong. My bet - TSA. Besides that - how in the world does a wedding gown fit inside a suitcase?

I will give her a buddy pass to PHX and buy the cake if she can nail Parker with it in the face. This is very sad. I would have come unglued so I applaud her for staying calm. "Are you sure you packed it"? I would have just lost it.

Get over your anger issues. Really.

If this job makes you so angry, just quit and do what you love, you will be much happier, as will the people that are around you.

I believe that it was the TSA since they are the ones who have the duty to go inside the bag and check it. But she should have filed a police report immediately. There could be a theft ring going on somewhere. I would blame the TSA and file a police report, notify the TSA and the airport. Then US Airways would definitely respond right away instead of in one week.

I agree Piney - but after my experince where I know TSA took these things out of my bag and nothing was done I was really upset. I had everything documented that they (TSA) required. $80 worth of jewely is not that big - yet it was the thought that they could get away with it. They told me if I wanted to appeal I would have to go to district court and hire a lawyer.

Attention all Brides!

Please ship your dress!!!!!!!!
Please do not check it!!!!!!
Please do not ask me to place it in my nonexistant closet!!!!
Please don't take up TWO overhead bins with it and then get mad that someone has place a bag on top of it!!!!!
Please don't ask me to hang it in the flightdeck!!!!

Just ship the thing and have a wonderful day!!!!

Is anyone else offended by the OP's insults towards US' Fleet Service?

We have had bridal dresses left on the aircraft before.
I always thought there must be a good story behind those.

Those TSA love notes need to have a identification # of the TSO who inspected the bags. Only then will we see a decline in stolen items from checked bags. Funny how theft like this was not as rampant before the TSA came along.
