When departing MIA earlier this week I noticed about 7 or 8 737's parked over near maintenance hangers. They looked like they were being taken out of the fleet. Were they the last remaining 737-300's.

Yes, those are lease returns. They aren't the last ones remaining though; I believe there are still four active in the fleet that will be returned at the end of November.

According to the fact sheet updated on 10/1/2012 at usairways.com, there are no 733s remaining in the fleet. 32 734s remain.

there are still a few 733s.. In PVD we still have flt 1864 CLT PVD and 1865 PVD CLT operated by the 733....a flight that we all hate, full in full out every day crew change every day, tons of gate checked bags, but some wise person in the golden cactus in PHX things this can be done in the 35 min turn....and every day it takes a turn dly.....

The last info that I saw showed 4 of the 733's left on the East. I believe that they will all be gone by the end of this year.

A PILOT TOLD ME RECENTLY THAT IT WOULD BE BY END OF NOV THAT THE 300S ARE GONE AND 400S BY END OF NEXT YR
THE 321S ARE THE REPLACEMENT PLANES

At SWA we do 30 min turns on 737-700 with 143 seats every day I am a part time agent and I usually work 4-5 flghts per shift.

Different animal boarding a SWA flight. No FC to deal with, less bags to deal with since your passengers don't have to carry everything on to avoid paying for a checked bag either.

Ah yes.Yet another east excuse on why we can't do things that other airlines can.

Again another westie talking about something they know nothing about. Back when were were running Metrojet we did those turns day in and day out.

Good to see you have kept those AF/O dues paid up.

So you are telling me that the SWA boarding process isn't done in a completely different fashion than the US one?
Dealing with a ton of gate checked bags doesn't inhibit the boarding process? Have you worked the gate in the last 5 years, or at all? How do you know I'm an Eastie?
Only an idiot would attempt to bring that into this discussion. Oh, that's right now I get it.
