This is for any low-fare airline why isn't this airport getting consideration from any airlines now a days, it seems like with all the money the airport is getting now with the upgrade to the runway in the possible future is a southwest, airtran, jetblue, frontier ever going to give a thought to KBTR or is it just too small?

It all depends on the market yield and can they make $$$$$. As for FL, if they went into every City that wanted them, they'd need another 100 aircraft. They only have 80 more ordered by 2008 IIRC. Maybe you will get lucky B)

Too small? BTR is the largest city in LA now, and by all indications will continue to be for a long time....

I agree, I fly frequently and its so difficult to get in and out of Baton Rouge now a days...When I see flights out of New Orleans most of them aren't nearly full and wont be for at least another year or soo.

Do yall think it is a long shot for a low-fare airline to drop by, if so what airline, theirs room and open gates it just amazes me.

That is by design to maintain higher yields per flight. Why fly five flights at forty-five and sixty percent when you can fly three at a hundred?

It is a very long shot. You are living in a State with the most corrupt political system in the country that is not interested in bringing in any type of new industry. As a matter of fact they are running some major companies right out of the state. State Farm gone (Thanks by the way) 1,800 jobs lost overnight. Flint Ink, gone. Harrahs, gone. Bank One has already sold the North tower, how long do you think it will be before they sell the South one and pull out? PPG sure is expanding rapidly into Texas. EADS dumped their overhaul facility for a measly seven mil. They had more than that invested in scaffolding alone. PMI also sold out. It was nationally advertised and practically given away to a local guy looking for a tax break. How do you like your tax dollars going to Kathleen’s new pay raise? How did you like paying for her million-dollar vacation to Holland to look at their dikes? Do you think she actually learned anything over there? I hear the new Aeroframe Services in L.C. is performing very poorly. Four aircraft in the hangar and all two weeks past delivery date. Texas is ready to round up all your refugees and herd them back home, they are not at all impressed with your Riff-Raff. Oh Yea lets not forget that 200 Million dollar I-10 project going right through the middle of your city. Outsourced to a company out of N.Y. Hell they wouldn't even by concrete from the local guys. They filled the Mississippi River with barges of aggregate that was imported. How much of that money do you think stayed in the state? Not much, just the kickbacks. What about Hollywood coming to your town, it might have been New Orleans. There were some scenes that required the actors to be in the Mississippi River, A quick water test revealed so much pollution they pulled up stakes and filmed off-site. In short don't hold your breath.

PTO, Anyone reading your posts has to "Hold their Breath". You are nothing but a scumbag to most in this industry by being a Scab. This person, Adam, did not ask for a "State of the Union" address on the issue's of LA, just simply asked about LLC service. Do us all a favor and go drive a Dump Truck or, better yet, get a job as an Ocean Liner anchor. I used to think some of your posts were comical but this last one kills all humor. I think you need a new Crack Supplier !

PTO, Anyone reading your posts has to "Hold their Breath". ...
I see you changed your signature QA4Jet-A. It's a good thing, for your response to my post made you look a bit hypocritical.

Do note that Adam is "amazed" at the fact that there are empty gates at BTR. I simply pointed out the obvious facts as to why his gates are empty and why there are no airlines interested in filling those gates. There is a definite problem when even the LCC's that you guys detest so much shies away from an otherwise viable market.

As mga707 pointed out, BTR is now the largest city in the state and cannot get the existing carriers to increase its number of flights and to expect another airline to set up ops. Come on QA, since I have it all wrong according to you then do enlighten us and Adam as to why he should be "amazedâ€￾ as to why other carriers are not interested in BTR.

An update to my previous post: Bank One has been bought out by Chase. BTR was the headquarters for Bank One. Chase has already got a headquarters. Do you think Chase needs two headquarters? Sorry Adam it is just a matter of time before Chase ditches the South Tower.
