AWA: Next new cities?

Anybody that looked at a route map of U and AWA would see that they would mesh just about perfectly..The one problem was Columbus(the emphasis on was)....I would also point out that the two are'nt as different as many might think....the pay scales would be a problem....but things like that can be worked out..Interesting but it wont happen

On the original subject...OKC is a market to large to be ignored, but with a SWA monopoly on PHX-OKC it seems pointless..My suggestion would be a different tactic...I should point out first that I am a big fan of limited point to point operations....I would like to introduce OKC to the AWA system...but using a city other than PHX..No point in fighting SWA for passengers...How about OKC-TUS-SAN....or TUL-ELP-SFO..Bypass PHX altogether...and avoid the fight with LUV...

OKC would be a good city for AWA...again. It was last served back in the early 80s, but hasn''t been since. OKC''s Southwest hold is really challenged by American (the largest) and Delta (3rd largest). They have slowly added and removed service over time...but have always stuck with their core 22-24 flights to the same 5 cities....Phoenix, Kansas City, St. Louis, Dallas Love, and Houston Hobby.

HP may be able to overfly WN via LAS or even going the route of LAX or another west coast city and then back track. Why? Oklahoma offers any airline that offers flights to the coasts a tax break. Continental is currently the only airline that is enjoying it.
