Why is the company putting this stuff up for sale instead of trying to keep it or send it to another city that could use the equipment?

Most of it is heavy maintenance and support shops, they outsourced it so they dont need the equipment.

Sad , But all too true !!

Note that some of this stuff is related to DC-9's and JT-8 series engines too...things that have long since been gone. I assume little of it has any real value , like the DC-9 Tail Docks , beyond thier scrap metal value..or they would have already been bought up by someone in actual need of them.

I sure hate seeing the back shop test equipment go...and anything related to current Acft like the A330. This stuff will come back to haunt us at some point in time. Like the gun supporters say, "I'd rather have it and not need it , than need it and not have it".
