I guess you aren't familiar with Greenvile/Spartanburg area industry, aside from being the textile capital of the US, and one of the headquarters of Fluor Daniel Construction as well as several food manufacturing companies like Shedd and Duke,it is headquarters to many US operations of foreign companies, including Michelin and their subsidiaries and their test track is located there at the old Donaldson AFB. Also, as mentioned incorrectly as Mercedes, the BMW assembly and Zentrum delivery center is there, as well as a test facility.Not to mention suppliers such as Bosch North America in Anderson etc.There is plenty of reason and travelers that would fly out of GSP as well as easy access to I-85, from CAE to CLT and yes, ATL. BHM gets a bit of business from ATL flyers, and it's about 100 miles west of ATL on I-20

I doubt that Mercedes/BMW Execs would fly WN. Most of their travels are on corporate jets, if not all.
