This is exactly what AMP has proposed in their draft constitution, and something I've been an advocate of for several years now.

Interestingly, the negotiators they've selected are a subsidiary of ALPA, and there's apparently language in their services agreement that prevents the negotiator from engaging in work which would adversely affect Eagle pilots. That's not to say that APA won't try to adversely affect Eagle, but just that the professional negotiator would have to recuse himself from those discussions and/or analysis...
It's a good move on their part, but I can't help but wonder if this will leave the perception that tightening up the scope clause will be less of a focus for APA...
