Adding to the tension is the lack of time. New Chief Executive Officer Bruce Lakefield, worried about low-cost competition and the airline's federal loan requirements, wants union leaders to agree to new cuts by the end of June and for union members to ratify the changes in August. Is this going to happen? Are there meetings taking place that we don't know about? Is there a Plan B? Does the end of June mean anything? How long can U continue to claim they are losing money? How is AFA's independent analysis going? Will it be done in time? Lot's of questions.
