Anybody have any info about the new manager of DFW?

I know at US if you get caught sleeping you can be suspended for five days, but they werent very strict and you had to have made a "bed" area, but with everything that is going on, I bet there will be casualties.

And it use to be 30 days off.

Good Luck with that new maintenance "Management" Team....doubting they will work with you...

The company even but up posters from the faa that pretty much encouraged a catnap. I am not a real cs guy but I see a very strong need for them. Plus how much money does the company save buy all these guys doing doubles as most of there shifts overlap at least 1/2 a hour at min. (the twu should be getting buy back money for the cs program, everything has a dollar figure right)

If a guy is in the work area, and the crew chiefs know where there people are when needed is the important thing.

If I work just dayshift I am so tried getting up at 430 a.m. to be at work by 6a.m. by 8.30 a.m. I  am not 100%. So then what?

There is no sleeping at work, and the TWU doesn't condones it.

To get back on topic..

The new USair Manager at DFW AC Mtc decided the double CS should be used only for VC and not for the commuters.. The word I received was 38 aircraft OTS for 2 days in a row which is when the original CS DFW policy was reinstated... Can any DFW AMT's verify?

Actually they allow you to come in up to 2 hours early if you need to catch a flight etc. This was a great tool for the commuters as it really helped them plan for the best flight of the day. When this new guy showed up, this long standing policy suddenly changed, and as you can guess people were not happy. Allegedly there were a lot of planes OTS over that weekend, and I hear he came back Monday and said it wasn't him, it was all some big misunderstanding. Of course this is all alleged information and not to be considered factual.........

Amazing how the change in a CS policy ignites a firestorm.....But concessions, increased outsourcing, and bad contract after bad contract and?  ......NOTHING...NADA....ZIP......
Where was the outrage then?

I sadly agree, take the laptops away and we will have a war. But take away our pensions and medical and benefits and holidays and double time and a half and double time and so on and so on and so on and we sit back and let it happen.

Actually, during the BK, negotiations and even the 03 concessions there was plenty of the same reaction from DFW, unfortunately the system didn't follow. In fact people came down from TUL to clean up the OTS. Not once but many many times. Field trips were sent from other stations including LAX to stations Dallas would normally cover. I think you'll find NY/MIA covered stations the ORD would normally have covered too. You should try to get your facts right Mover....

After the 2003 bend over party. In ord we did not take any field trips or o/t for years. Only later to find out dfw was coming up to ind, cle and etc on field trips and all the other stations where working o/t

I could care less about the CS policy. You make statements out your arse, saying no one at DFW reacted over all the concessions. That is false. Those are the facts airplane mover.
