The US employees wont vote for anything that doesnt contain shift swap language in the CBA.
That's a good thing.
Does US allow back to back endless double shifts? Add 4 hours to and 4 hours early call in to the mix? Do they allow mechanics to work more that 16 hours a day?

I posted the language in this thread.

You can do back to back, and no, there arent partial swaps, but you can take a half DAT.

And yes a mechanic can work more than 16 as long as he follows the duty regulations that limit your time at work and ensure rest.  And if you work a shift swap you are working 16 1/2 to 17 hours in the day.

And on road trips you can work more than 16.

Yea working 80 hours a week is a real help.
Yes Bob...some of us (probably the majority) who either pick up (CSW) or give away (CSO) never work the 80 hours a week that you claim. Some of us appreciate the privilege and use it for it's intended purpose. Unlike some other work groups Bob, Fleet is a twenty-four hour seven day a week job. For those who do not have the seniority and can't get a weekend or something comes up in someones life, it's nice to know there is a tool available.

So again yes, it helps a lot of us out.

Not at your home base, but on a field trip you can work endless hours until the aircraft is repaired.

Just to clarify, both CS and travel are considered a privilege, not benefits. Benefits can't be withdrawn for discipline; privileges can.
So did /do you and your counterparts withdrawn swap for discipline

Until management takes it away unlike USAirways contracts
AA employees have to pay for their uniforms?
Is having uniforms a privilege too

The new AA has adopted old AAs travel policy, let's hope we go with AAs CS policy since it's better then USairs/IAM policy.

Travel or swaps Which one

Because with AA contracts both can be taken away without negotiations bargaining and grievances

About the only thing most mechs will be united on is the CS policy.

In the MOU for the FAs, the USair executives gave back to the FAs the privilege of not having to work not even one hour to be employed at the new AA. Then we go with AAs travel policy, I can see the executives going with old AAs CS policy. Why anger 7300 give or take mechs.
