Congratulations to Ft. Myers Customer Service Agent Roy Caple, who received an Honorable Mention at the Annual Elaine McLaughlin Outstanding Hospitality Award Ceremony in Fort
Myers, Florida.

The award ceremony features employees in the hospitality industry who go above and beyond customer expectations. Nominations are made by the customers themselves and there are several categories for the awards. Roy’s Honorable Mention was in the Transportation category.

The customer who nominated Roy had booked travel through an on-line German travel service, and was having difficulty understanding flight arrangements. After Roy investigated and discovered that the customers were not traveling on US Airways, he still took the time to make phone calls on their behalf, confirm their travel arrangements, and assist them.

They were quite impressed that he would take the time to go out of his way to help them, even though they were not US customers. Roy received a plaque, trophy, and gift certificates donated by local establishments.

SIMPLE – Roy’s efforts made traveling much easier for these non-US customers. He went above and beyond what they expected with great results: they told others about his exceptional customer service. Thanks, Roy, for making US fly!
