The 340 could make the distance. But 11 of them are a big jump in international flying. There would need to be a lot more markets than just Israel. The other problem is credit. At the current credit rating it might be tough to get the planes financed.TheWatcher said:What are the chances of US Airways picking up the 11 remaining Airbus 340-300's from Boeing. Boeing is leasing 8 of the 17 A340-300's it aquired from Singapore Airlines back in 1999. The A 340-300 would definetly give US some lift.
