I completely agree, Hopeful. AA cannot restructure until it finds a business plan that works with its current cost structure or obtains labor agreements that permit it to do the things it needs to do...
that is why I say that talk of an expansion of the agreement with B6 might work under the current labor agreements but it is bound to increase tensions if all that happens is that AA continues to leave markets only to turn around and codeshare on B6 flights.
Labor won't agree to an expansion of the B6 agreeement until they get something out of it... and it is possible that AA's continued expansion of the current B6 arrangement without "wins" for labor will only result in more labor/mgmt problems, not less, which will only further delay the a necessary and more complete restructuring.
