Amfa Still In The Running

I haven't seen or read anything from the NMB that says AMFA lost. We won't know anything until after JUNE 30th or JUL.8th. This thing isn't over yet! Not by a long shot! I find it very amusing to see TWU supporters jumping up and down claiming victory. They can't win an election ,so they try to block it with dead people! You TWU dummies don't even know how many cards were submitted! After looking at the inflated TWU/AA list, some of these "potential" voters are gonna be thrown out on appeal!

Princess, How do you like being lied to? Look at the Tulsa world article and you will see that Amfa filed with less than 60%. You complain about the TWU lies, so are you going to hold Amfa to the same standards?

Princess, This is standard procedures for the NMB, We all know Amfa has less than 50% of valid cards, will Amfa be sccessful at reducing the 18,661 below the Valid cards filed? At this point it is in the TWU ball field. Amfa has made every attempt for the last 3 months and has only been successful at increasing the potential voters list. Wait longer it could very well increase again. Keep up the great job, you are doing a great job for the TWU!!!!!!!

So who is the TWU gonna dig up this time to add to the list? More dead people, more people who are not Mechanic+related? So tell me CIO,what is the exact number that AMFA filed with? Since you claim to know it all. Like other people have said we will start the drive again if necessary and we will not stop until the TWU is gone. We only have until JAN. 2009 to get rid of the TWU boneheads thanks to the TWU's great negotiating skills!

You don't seem to understand.

The battle will not end if the NMB, AA, and the TWU screw the members out of a vote on the union representation of their choice.

I have had more volunteers come forward in the last 24 hours than in the last 6 months. The Organizing Committee has already grown in Tulsa due to this injustice, and there isn't even a card drive started yet.

I actually look forward to another drive with a committee twice the size as before. Anger brings the apathetic out of the woodwork. And those that have been on the sidelines are ready to take the field.

We will vote now, or we will vote later.

One thing is for sure, until that vote happens, there is NO UNION on the property. With a divided membership denied a unification vote, the TWU is now at a record weak level. And Jim Little is threatening some action if Arpey doesn't show the "shared sacrfice" by June 28th, 2004. You TWU supporters better hope that Arpey does not call Jim's bluff, because with over half of the skilled technicians feeling slighted by the TWU as much as AA, don't look for many takers when "whatever action Jim deems nessacary" is called by the weak leader.

In fact, I hope Jim's latest bluff is challenged by AA Management, a legal demonstration of the TWU's weakness could take the cake right now.

Dave you dreaming again? I haven't been on the floor for a few days but I cn assure you, Your volunteers are only in your dreams!!!!!!

Princess i predicted 3 months ago amfa was 2000 cards short of the 60%. Actually it was a few more than this.

Actually the new drive (if needed) will be alot easier compared to this last one. Alot of people that got on board late in the game are here for the startup of the new drive and are allready gearing up for it. The international boys may have gotten a one year reprieve thats all.

Kevin, you will never take the spirit away, it simply does not work that way. I watched several twu faces as they read the NMB's findings. Two were disgusted with what happened and would sign cards today. The twu only proved they have significant amount of influence in suppressing the membership. The spirit lives and the intensity will only get stronger. Your lies about the numbers will not wash but, I also know this is the only place you have to make some sort of defense because the twu does not have a platform to stand on. We told you "No Vote No Peace" and now you have been given a month or two stay and possibly a year but, it does not end here, it is only the beginning of the inevitable end.

CIO, You had better wait about another 30 days before you come back to work because those home rolled smokes can get you in trouble.
You know that the support has grown and you post on this board that it hasn't in hopes that someone will believe you. Maybe even in the hopes of believing it yourself. Now click your heels together three times and say " there is no place like home; there is no place like home".

In my station, instead of the 15 AMFA Supporters that ran the last drive there are now more than 35. Copies of the AMFA Associate Membership forms are moving like hotcakes.

Between now and the outcome of the appeal, everyone that signed a card get at least two FSCs' to sign an AGW card.

Remove the cancer from the airline industry--get everyone to vote out the TWU.

Here's a great example of TWU double standard:

TWU agrees:
Former TWA employees who NEVER even worked for TWA LLC, that is they were laid off before the AA/TWA deal, have a "reasonable expectation" to be recalled to AA. (even though they never worked for AA) and should be eligible to vote.

TWU agrees:
Laid off Janitors at stations where janatorial services have been outsourced, have a "reasonable expectation" to be recalled to their jobs. And should be eligible to vote.

But..

TWU proclaimes:
NorthWest mechanic's jobs are "gone forever".

I talked to a couple of fleet service clerks tonight, they told me a story here in Tulsa about how the twu told them that if AMFA got on the property that they could kiss there jobs good bye.

First I asked if the twu person telling them this had the balls to put it in writing and sign it an they said no.

Then I showed them proof in the NMB decision how the twu was the ones that dragged them into this mess and then had the gull to tell them their jobs would be gone if AMFA got on the property.

Seems they are not to happy with the twu right now.

Just goes to show how low the twu will go to instill fear into the membership to get them to cooperate with what they want.

I believe that is what I have been saying.

Fear it is after all, the TWU's only weapon.
