As previously stated, I will not continue to post deliberate deceit regarding the number of furloughs at NWA. If you are unwilling to be truthful, then go elsewhere. - TM

Hey Cal,

It really looks like your busted over there and on this forum as well, as I said earlier it seems in your case that the jig is up...Perhaps a new name coupled with TRUTH over deceit will get you further and earn you more RESPECT.. You'd be surprised how much better life is if you tell the TRUTH and deal with people in a straight forward manner using the Golden Rule as a model.. I am amazed and saddened at the depths people will stoop to in a vain effort to hold on to a corrupt system .... This is further evidence of a need to smoke these rascals out of their spider holes and shine the light of TRUTH on them, while holding them accountable for every lie uttered.....

First I don't see any reason to repost my opinion more than occasionally. Second Bob, when I was laid off from AA in 1980 there were around 2600 people in title one. Now there are how many? do the math, the TWU really gave away lots of jobs.

Now to start the New Year of right, why are all you highly skilled mechanics with your expensive A&P tickets so eager to do cold miserable or just plain semi-skilled work? Particularly after all the moaning about the pay cut.
Those jobs that are now here are here because of all the other airlines and the good paying jobs that the AA-TWU partnership helped to eliminate. The TWU has taken more members from the IAM and other unions in this Industry than AMFA has, so far.

Saying that the TWU created those jobs is like saying that WALMART creates jobs. The fact is that what has really happened is that high paying jobs were undermined and eventually eliminated leaving the workers that had those jobs to work for the low cost competitor (AA/ WALMART)that put their old employer out of business and eliminated their good paying job. Basically the difference between WALMART and AA is that AA workers pay dues and think that they have a union.

Keep spinning words Bob, just don't get dizzy. I did not claim that the TWU created those jobs, I only ask how come there are so many jobs if the TWU was busy giving jobs away.

Now before I sign off, you are having your car tires mounted by a highly skilled auto mechanic rather than the fellow Walmart hired because he could wield an impact wrench?

So many jobs? The question is have A&P jobs increased at the same rate as other employment in this industry or has it lagged due to the fact that the TWU has been transferring work that was traditionally accomplished by A&Ps to other, lower paying TWU classifications?

There you go again praising the WalMart philosophy. This is one of the things that makes the TWU unique among labor organizations. They praise and advocate the same basic economic theories that the enemies of labor do- lower wages = more jobs. Sorry but I dont buy it. Any union that does is no longer really a union, but rather an agent of the company. Is it true or is it not that every Local President in the TWU/AA system is paid his regular 40 hours by the company?

I hear that the TWU is now trying to set up employee advisory groups similar to those described by the author of "Confesions of a Union Buster". Doesnt suprise me at all. The TWU/ATD has been the most successful union buster of all time. Their influence on the airline labor market has been more successful at lowering wages and reducing benifits than Frank Lorenzo and Aircon combined.

By the way we, (my wife and I) do not shop at WalMart. Actually I dont even know if there is one near me.
