There are many of your fellow AA brothers and sisters that put their 40 bucks in. It's not so cool to be a twu supporter anymore. Everyone's anxious to visit the Local 12 election headquarters once the work inside is completed. Money well spent. I just hope our "Iron Clad" twu contract holds up until we can negotiate a new/real one. We should have plenty of money in the local by the time our current fiasco is ammendable.

How do you measure the success of a union? By the size of its treasury and the property it owns or by the size of its members bank accounts and the property they own?

The average TWU member makes around $15/hr while the average AMFA member makes more than double that.

What would most logical people want to be, a TWU member or an AMFA member?

At the rate mechanic's are booted out the door at United and NW the average keeps going up on who is left. Why not take a poll and add the average wage to the 11,000 employed away from these two airlines and then come back and compare the average. I suspect The TWU will top the average.

Guess what, Word has it that Local 12 has borrowed 150,000 +/- thousand from amfa National with a gurantee that the associate members will be paying this back.Now I see why they are begging for money!

This now makes over 500,000+/- thousand dollars that the local has borrowed. Watch what will be taking place at local 37! Can you see a pattern developing yet? Word has it that the locals for United are not certified and may not be able to participate in the upcoming convention.
