American-US Airways merger proposal expected to come soon

made some mistakes and got a few dui's. That's bad, no doubt but I don't believe any employee would be fired for a dui.

That statement makes me question if you are a pilot, but maybe you have never seen a guy get popped by the rules. One DUI and you would probably be ok with a bunch of hoop jumping for the FAA. It would cost you a pile money but you would probably keep your certificates. Two or three DUI's and your medical is gone, and so is your airline pilot job.

FAR part 61.15 deals specifically with DUI situations. More than one in a 3 year period will initiate certificate action. However the FAA has been known to initiate action and pull a pilots medical after one DUI. I know of one case of a retired military pilot that had 2 spread over a 16 year period, and they still pulled his medical due to "cronic chemical dependancy" or some similar language.

So as a hypothetical situation someone with 3 DUI's would not be allowed to fly for an airline.

Parker made some mistakes and got a few dui's. That's bad, no doubt but I don't believe any employee would be fired for a dui. He is still a good CEO, despite union's hatred of him. None of us, east or west woud have a job if not for him.

Rant all you want against him but he will laugh all the way to the bank.
A good CEO, a run at DELTA(FAILED), a run at UNITED(FAILED) , he may laugh all the way to the bank, the same way he laughs at you, besides if it weren't for DUI, no other airlines standards besides AWA reached low enough to hire your! MM!

"...made some mistakes and got a few dui's.".."...but he will laugh all the way to the bank."

Since when is that type of behavior the true hallmark of any great leader?.....Or even a "good CEO"?

The captains and crews of actual pirate ships often held themselves to far more ethical codes than do the management teams of contemporary corporations:

A good CEO would have a merger completed and not let it drag on for over seven years, that is unheard of in this industry.

I can't speak for signals, only myself. And I have never "admitted" any such thing.

As for my agenda, it's pretty simple: Questioning Doug Parker's leadership and advocate for new leadership. What prompted the site was his obsesion with buying American Airlines, which I think would be a terrible mistake for us.

Yeah, what has he ever done for USAirways? Except save an airline, create jobs and produce record profits.

You are a joke.

And how has labor faired with those profits????? No improved contracts, except concessionary holding a decade later.

How has his salary faired during the past ten years?????? Is he at the same salary and compensation as 2002?

Thus begins the three-ring-circus sideshow.

Strap yourselves in it's going to be a rough ride.

Move2Douche believes it's a done deal and peace will return to Whoville!
