American Airlines won't sweeten offer

Bring in the AMP, because they will do sooooooooo much better!

When hell freezes, that is. I could have told you they would take this position months ago. But no one wanted to listen. So we are still working on the 2003 contract for who knows how long.

uh oh, I think we made the company mad, "I told you so".

Show me an example of a company that offered to up the ante without even meeting with the union after a TA was rejected, believe it or not TAs have been rejected before.

Do you think anyone expected anything different? We will see what they say on the 11th hour of the 29th day. Will you be ready to walk or will you cross the line?

The 2003 contract language is better than the the language of the last T/A we just voted down 2 to 1.
The money was not much to brag about but the Language was just not acceptable.

You have got to be kidding...Right?

Given the resources that the TWU had available to negotiate, just about anybody could have gotten better results. Also, more transparency in negotiations would be a pleasant change as well.

I've also had it with the prima donnas at the international level. Do these posers really think they are all that?

Gimme a break already....

Agreed, and when you factor in inflation the money was even better in 2003-2008 than what the TA offered.

I want my quarter million dollars back, but at this point I'd be happy to see my pension.

Classy, Frank.

Glad to hear you like working under the current contract, because that's what you're going to be doing for the foreseeable future.

That is true, however, eventually the pax will feel the effects of AA's dragging its feet and continuing it's AArogant path.

Why would they keep financial info top secret till 2017/2019 ???

Uh, it's a purchasing contract, and commercial terms between companies are just about always treated as confidential in SEC filings.

Boeing and Bombardier don't want other customers knowing what they agreed to as far as price, and AMR doesn't want other airlines knowing what they agreed to as far as terms.
