American Airlines Strands Luggage From Multiple Flights In Miami; Blames 'Technical Issue'

thanks for being honest, E.

honestly, the Latin America market knows about AA's reputation with bags to/from/thru MIA.
and You have FACTS to back up this statement???? Or is this your opinion?

WORLD FRAUDSTER..... You have made no less then 10 posts since I asked you a question.....  Where are the FACTS to back up your Statement?

Late 90's, the offbeat newspaper, 'Miami New Times' did a long story on MIA bag handlers from a certain airline after the major drug bust, a bust that caught the minor players and copycats. The government couldn't afford to hire the real criminals.

One point that was made the the violent, murderous Colombian drug cartels. They regarded the MIA rampers (all airlines) as disreputable thieves and criminals that even they couldn't do business with. ;)

The story is in the archives somewhere.

Sure, nobody in MIA at a certain airline has ever heard of 'building a wall of bags' and subsequent looting.

there are indeed facts to back up my statements....

they are right here.

http://www.dot.gov/airconsumer

and there is only one airline that is offering a guarantee for how fast bags get to baggage claim or customers are compensated.

it isn't AA.

of course they are....

the DOT gives animals a separate category in the DOT report - and airlines handle a fraction of the number of animals that they do of bags.

here is the Dec 2014 report on lost bags...

http://www.dot.gov/sites/dot.gov/files/docs/2015FebruaryATCR.pdf

AA and US 48,457 reports of mishandled baggage. and that doesn't include Envoy which added another 14K reports.

only WN had more mishandled bags with more than 50K reports.

in contrast, UA was under 30K and DL was under 18K.

the chances of losing a bag on AAL group companies are more than twice what they are on DL

it's also worth noting that DL and UA's rates of baggage mishandling went down in Dec 2014 and so did WN compared to a year earlier compared to AAL group which went up.

so yes bags are different from dogs and AA does far worse than any other airline except WN in the total number of mishandled bags and so far AAL is moving in the opposite direction of the rest of the big 4 that are all improving their baggage performance.

btw, can you tell me which airline offers a 20 minute baggage delivery to claim guarantee?

let me help you out.. it isn't AA.

wow... 5000 bags and MOST Of them have now been returned, 3 days later.

the Resurrection fully happened in less time than that.

I can understand a mechanical breakdown but not informing people just makes me shake my head ...

We really need to start doing a better job ..

mgmt. doesn't stand in the baggage service offices or close airplane doors or make onboard PAs.

those are all frontline jobs.

It may well have been AA mgmt. that said not to say anything - we really don't know - but someone at AA didn't bother to tell passengers their bags were not loaded even after standing around baggage carousels.

Customers don't really care who at AA did it.
