Throughout his career Tim has a tendency to ruffle the feathers of the established union heads he also tells the truth. How many politicians do ypu know who tell the truth and are totally candid as Tim get elected? Not a whole hell of a lot

So your position is he was too honest to get elected?
That’s an interesting train of thought

Build American Airlines to Thrive Forever American is building a company that we expect to be consistently profitable today and in the future, making decisions to ensure it is financially strong and forward-thinking. In 2018, American: • Returned $986 million to shareholders in the form of dividends and share repurchases in 2018 • Reported the best year ever at American Airlines Cargo, with a record $1 billion in revenue and 2 billion pounds of freight delivered • Ended 2018 with approximately $7.6 billion in total available liquidity, comprised of unrestricted cash and investments of $4.8 billion and $2.8 billion in undrawn revolver capacity. The company also had a restricted cash position of $154 million

looks like $7.6 billion to me.

know-it-all

It's almost bonus time for the top execs...Wonder what that amount is while I get 1.4%

true. from what i know and don't know...level 5s and above get bonuses, not profit sharing.

from what i have heard: for the bonuses to kick in, i believe the company has to hit $3 billion pre-tax for a fiscal year. aa hit $2.8-$2.9 billion pre-tax for 2018. of course, the company may pick and choose who gets a bonus..it's all subjective.

i talked to a relatively new level 3 csm the other day and he told he wasn't getting anything. i told him he confused the bonuses with the profit sharing. i believe he'll get profit sharing.

he doesn't know his work area and he doesn't know that he'll get a profit sharing check this year. he does know what every CARs agent likes in her coffee.

this is the quality of our lower level management.

i agree. disappointed to read comments in jetnet about another BK. some employees seem to argue against themselves..BK in one post and the next they want an ILC. anything could happen...of course, but i see this management team as handicapping, not destroying. too much RJ flying...too much.

i believe that aa/cfo kerr includes the pension payment for the overall debt outlook for 2019.

delta's cash on hand is under $2 billion while aa has $7.6 billion. delta's debt also went up last year by $2 billion. they need to buy planes now.

Yea I think I saw you trying to calm some of those doom and gloomers down on there?

While I’m not an aficionado on financials like you are I don’t see any flashing red lights going off just yet warning of any pressure in the system.

Crema do those share repurchases take away from the reported profit and what we get placed in the 5% pool to be shared?

absolutely. the BOD decided to allocate $2 billion in it's last (and current...now til the end of 2020) share repurchase program.

that $2 billion could have been used for anything...from dividend hike to special dividend payout to paying down debt...or, $120 million of that to pay for all assoc. members to be on iam insurance for next contract.

we know, they don't want to share with us.

Ok thanks. Just wanted to double check on that. So AA could have reported higher profits and split a larger pool if they wouldn’t keep throwing all the excess fat at Wall Street trying to get the Share price to climb.

that money is running...could be chunks of profit from 2015..etc...it's not like they earned an additional $2 billion last year and decided to spend that $2 billion on share buy-backs until 2020.

the company says that they will share money with the shareholders when they have in excess of $7 billion on hand.

What a resume... no wonder management loves him...

Curious to what position?

It's the exact same play book as our nego's. Everything that has happened in our nego's is now happening in yours (as far as delays and stalls). It is just uncanning how well they resemble one another.
I am not hearing any rumblings about a cooling off period, but, they do think it will be longer than the EC expected.
Robbed, I can only hope you guys do not go as long as us, but hey, you never know. You guys going on 4 years? Is that right? We are in our 6th. May God help us all for new contracts this year...

Line AMT position, I think US Airway side but I am not for sure.
