American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

it did mean something during the seniority committees sessions...

right.

think about what has occurred and who kept DOH when hired on by the george washington's and betsy ross' of the new aa, PRIOR to the merger and javits and what DOH means for all the laa employees in regards to co-mingling seniorities.

Without the Association, the TWU would have tried to staple the LUS on the bottom. 100% fact.

Since neither the APA or APFA who were the surviving Unions at AA tried to do that. And even the CWA who picked up a huge new group with the LAA unrepresented didn’t try to either, there is no evidence to support that comment.

There may have been a few differences in the final decision on how to put the puzzle together but that’s about it.

McCaskill, Bond would have made sure LUS was treated fairly despite the language in our TWU Contracts.

Not something like this:

CLT, PHL, PHX, PIT 100%

BOS, DCA, LGA 25%

All others 12/9/13

This begs the question if STL closes in the JCBA (TWU ageeement and current flight activity would permit) what happens with respect to Kasher? I have to assume that when the S80s leave by the end of the year, that station will only see more Eagle flying. Plus the TW mechanics know the S80 very well, since that was substantially all of TWs fleet. Once the S80 leaves is there any reason to maintain a class 1 MX operations, stores, GSE, etc?

i appreciate all the leg work, but what javits ruled has nothing to do with my argument. you and filter can talk javits all day long, that's not my angle and you guys know it's not my angle.

a simple example is this: our posting friend, colonelramp, gets hired by aa. his piedmont and envoy time are thrown in the garbage.

an lus employee's piedmont time is NOT thrown in the garbage.

now talk to me about DOH after the co-mingling.

the time to look out after the twu dues payers would have been PRIOR to forming the assoc. you don't believe the iam would have been onboard for DOH for all if it meant they'd get a 50% stake in the new aa?? if the iam would have agreed, then javits would have rubber-stamped DOH for all with the co-mingling. i also believe the twu would have had no problem and reciprocated with an iam request of PTers granted 100% seniority instead of 50%.

each party looking out after their dues payers.

FYI although I firmly recognize that trying to poke former TWA Employees on here is nothing more than a game to you and I highly doubt that even one actually comes here to read. For purposes of clarity and speaking in regards to the Fleet Service Class and Craft.

The TWA 4/10/01 will be coming up on 18 years ago now this April. If you view the integrated Seniority list that Neutral Javits released TWA FSC’s have over 6000 individuals below them out of 17,000.

With new hires since being added that number has swelled to near 7000 individuals below them out of 18,000.

Fleet Service in STL numbers 151 people. Of that amount 119 are former TWA Employees. 32 never worked for TWA and 26 Employees have less than 4 years.

But I think if your (wished for) doomsday scenario were to happen in STL especially the 119 people (Who don’t chose to retire) will have their pick of anywhere they wish to go with bumping rights having 7000 people below them.

I hope this clears up your confusion once and for all but I am 100% positive it won’t and you will return to (TRY) and poke TWA (LLCers as you call them) again and again until you pass away from this life.

Religion, Politics and Seniority talk.

And I think colonelramp is with the new Piedmont Airlines not the one that Tim Nelson came from back in 1989?

“The Piedmont name was resurrected in 1993, when USAir (now American Airlines) renamed Henson to "Piedmont Airlines", to protect the Piedmont brand name, which could be used by others if not exercised in trade use for a period of time. USAir continued this practice by changing the name of its two other wholly owned regional airline subsidiaries, Jetstream and Suburban Airlines, to PSA Airlines and Allegheny Airlines, respectively. (Pacific Southwest Airlines was the name of a California-based airline merged into USAir.) In 1997, USAir was renamed US Airways, and Piedmont and Allegheny were likewise re-branded as US Airways Express carriers. US Airways merged Allegheny Airlines into Piedmont in 2004.”

yeah, i'll stop.

ok..but didn't aa acquire simmons (mq), which turned into eagle?

so, piedmont is the george washington of the new aa and eagle is the benedict arnold of the new aa? is this the new history?

i also believe that envoy was created to detach from aa so they can jettison them one day. it's a ground handling company...it might as well be swissport handling eagle.

Today’s commuter Piedmont is not the Piedmont that the current LUS worked for. Again that Company was merged into LUS back in 1989.

I haven’t heard anything that the current Commuter Airline Piedmont is getting any special treatment over American Eagle Employees all under the same umbrella known now as Envoy?

Besides which I don’t understand why there should be any questions on the stories of two separate and distinct Airline Companies and their respective Histories before they merged into one?

L- American Airlines has its History and
L- Usairways has theirs.

Any city not named in the Kasher awards will be 4/10/01, RDU and CLT...Kasher named the specific cities with 100% and 25%...so any not named would be 4/10/01...

Not necessarily Filter.
