You’d need a card drive for a non AFL/CIO affiliated Union and you’d need to get 50% of people to sign a card for a different Union.

Then have those cards certified and then have a vote.

So you need between 8 to 9000 Clerks in both groups to sign cards.

Now you tell me the REAL likelihood behind that pipe dream?

I think Delta Ramp And FA’s have been trying to get cards for about 8 years now and AMFA tried for over 53 years.
AMFA has tried and the TWU and their respective company does not want that to happen.
Possibly for the first 50% of the attempts AMFA just lost. However from 1985 until the last
attempt it was a team effort to keep AMFA out

A final result for representation would the Mechanics in all airlines to be representitive by AMFA and the Fleet etal by the TWU?

Not to mention this other Kook here who now will ask to meet me at a Horse Track or something.

What is wrong with you too man? Do you even know there’s something wrong with you?

What is this game you play?

Weez do you want to meet at La Careta instead? It’s not far from D23 and you can even take the train...

Sorry Buck I knew it might draw you in but I wasn’t looking to start that conversation. I was just saying it to make a point to Al.

I think the TWU JetBlue FA campaign took about 5 years and there are only 5000 of them by comparison to about 17,000 Rampers.

get egos out of the way.
sito is the one who refuses to go back.
to be sure, im not a fan of a quick contract but the negotiation table must be respected.
according to the phl town hall, the fat union boss for mechanics told isom that the association isnt going back to negotiations if talks stay concessionary.
so sadly, almost everytime the union issues an update they are lying. the company wants to go back.
i personally dont mind alex ringing the bells for sito but one should never cease negotiating unless things have been exhausted.
sad
Why do you have to say “ the fat union boss”?

So your prediction of section 6 is more than likely
yes but its a combo of sitos election being postponed, along with alex taking a submissive role and justifying it by claiming to the laa that he will get the current lus health care for them. i support his narrative and encourage twu peeps to listen to their boss but if i was twu i would be furious with him kicking the can for us. i mean the iam only has 30% so we needed a twu boss to agree to kick the can. thats the only way this stall could continue.

Relax this is going to take years and years

is this what you believe or are hoping for?

You have to realize that LAA was in bankruptcy it could take years to get back much of what you lost. That is why LUS is a little bit ahead now of course the merger has soften your plight somewhat but it takes time

the merger has softened my plight? thanks for merging with us. what has the merger done for you?

these are historic, game-changing times in terms of airline profits. if we don't serious enhancements in say, 4 out of 5 articles, we'll never get any, ever again.

CWA also upset nAAtives trying to reopen TWA seniority to 100% everywhere even though all agents are 4/10/01 except COS/Colorado Springs.

Josh

i brought this up and someone questioned me about it. maybe the same guy asking about the seniority issue.

i remember a few aa ticket agents telling me about this. an ex twa agent on the negotiating committee tried to sneak this in? this is what i was told.

Dude, and I’m being nice, I could have used a different choice of wording, but I am a very resourceful and thrifty person, the threat of a layoff means nothing to me.

I guess that means you would vote yes for a contract that puts you on the street?
