Ahhh, the smell of socialist distribution of wealth.if we don’t get retro back pay, sick time and so on, that means the twu half of the association has been supplementing the IAM half of the association all at the same time as their half of the association has been enjoying the success of AA with the industry standard contract, while the twu half of the association is still working under a bankruptcy contract. (Going on 16 years now)
Just finished working a wide body overnight aircraft, while the IAM guys took a break. Are they making 25% more then us? Tomorrow the IAM guys will be making, is it 100% more then us? Or is it 50% more then us?

Don’t think about that stuff, hope everybody had a great thanksgiving. It was an ok meal provided by AA, but I’m grateful that AA actually included the LAA ground employees with the LUS ground employees.
Not sure what your saying, the IAM don’t get holiday pay the day after Thanksgiving
We only get the pay on the holiday.
With that said this kind of talk is exactly why we don’t have a deal.
All this BS back an forth, well they have this and we want this and that.
A good deal that we could have had was there but it was pissed away, so now we get the thanksgiving leftovers
You must be reading the maint agreement because fleet does not get the day after thanksgivingFrom page 26 of your contract. We don't have a contract, not because you don't know what's in your contract, but because we have 2 unions negotiating one contract, and the one union negotiating just one item for their members.
- 1 (D) Employees will observe the following holidays each year on the
- 2 dates established by Federal law, and the holiday pay will be equal to the
- 3 number of regularly scheduled hours: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King
- 4 Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
- 5 Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and
- 6 Christmas Day. The actual day on which the holiday falls will be observed
- 7 as the holiday.

Is weezles still going strong? We ran him out of here when we caught him in lies and found him out. I like weez though, it's therapeutic for him. But honestly, nobody really cares about the association updates. Hell I"m still waiting for Weez, ' Guaranteed Christmas TA" from 2 years ago. Blah Blah Blah. The association is over for Mechanics. You contracted out most of the other groups, and AMFA will take the mechanics off of your hands. You will be left with stores but they should get out as well. They are negotiating with the company on those dates.
And you all might want to dig up what the Weez said about retirement. Rumor has it that’s now been TAed.
7?! Holy crap. I thought it was more like 4, which is still too many IMO. But 7?! Wow! That's way too many. Keep the DRIVE alive...Sign AMFA cards.
Eliminate the dual union division. The NMB ruled AA is a single carrier back in 2015. The divisions and infighting are coming from the dual unions and 7 contract groups at the table. The SITO/GARCIA show is a disaster!
Eliminate the TWU, IAM, Association, and all non Mechanic and Related from your union business.
Then the Mechanic and Related can unite and get back to advancing the profession.
You will always have your complainers no matter what. However there is a fix. If AMFA is successful at being honored to have the AA mechs get on board, then just put the facilities and automotive on their own contracts but still represented by AMFA, this is what we did with all the "And Related" groups that we have no say so as being part of the "And Related". It's the NMB that makes that call. All our cleaners, facilities, MC, instructors etc... have their own contract and work rules lined out for them and I STRONGLY suggest you guys do the same as it will benefit ALL groups for the better and they are all still represented by AMFA. That simple of a fix gentlemen...No what will happen is certain people on here will complain because automotive and facilities are still part of Mechanic & Related
Hope you are being honest here.At any rate, it is encouraging to finally see the mechanic group united with both LUS/LAA signing AMFA cards at a record pace.
