American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

it should have been. Our contracts are clear that the union and company are suppose to uphold local laws.

My point exactly. We filed every time the co. tried to change ours and won all sick griev's when co went against their own sick policy, the contract or even a city ordinance. This guy just does not get it.. My second point was why this asso. did not get involved over this issue. That is just pathetic representation. The asso. needs to go before it's wayyyyy too late for you guys...

No surprise we, unionized employees, are in such a mess. So many don't even know how sick time is paid! They vote on contracts that they never read. They to this day still haven't read the contract. They believe the bull that idiots with an agenda put out. Sad so very sad.
Yup!!! Most only look at the $$$...

OT: Weak unions will be eliminated quickly under the NLRA now. Employers can boot the unions out if they believe that the union is no longer supported by the majority. Many lazy pathetic unions will now see the door. Only good unions will survive.

I smell a challenge coming from AA on this issue with this abortion asso. if they do not get what they want from the courts.
How interesting this may get for other companies in the future and who will be the first to try and abuse it in their favor. I do not like the part that say "decertification". That could very well mean no union after the union is removed. I would think there should be a vote with another union involved. We will see soon...

same thing happened in ewr with United over bag chutes on jetways. The iam told the agents it was an airport issue not to have jetway chutes. So the iam members had to sue united and won cuz the union refused to file.
However, when a state or city issue goes in the employee favor, the company gets the iam to sign a LOA like in seattle where minimum wage at seatac is $16.47. Iam signed letter voiding that and the sfo fmla enhancements.
We are better off being non union like jetblue or delta than getting less paying dues.

No one has seen the "acknowledgement" forms mechanics are supposed to be signing?

Always the Rock Thrower. As a Fleet Service Clerk what do you care? Always campaigning...must drive you nuts seeing Alex Garcia and where he has gone and where you have fallen to. Do you burn the TWU Express when you get it?

he has a valid point. I suggest you move on with your life and stop being angry over not being your own man like NYer.
As fleet service, the concerted effort affects our profit sharing so any mx problem is now my problem.
I hope the judge issues massive fines against the union so we can finally enjoy a improved contract.
regards,

Or a long overdue representational vote.
