Don’t worry Al. I’m not you. I’m not afraid to pack a bag and move. I’ve actually enjoyed the adventures over the years.

Besides MIA isn’t going anywhere. This is still the Gateway to Latin America.
Weez what do you think will come out of Wednesday s meeting im hearing the company may bend some what on the medical it may get the ball rolling

You do realize that me and tim really dont need a joint contract and are content if this drags on for years

Dude are you kidding? You want me to bring the laughing ladies out? That kook is nuts to vote cause he’s screaming every day to get out of the IAMPF. He thinks that fund is gonna drop so low he won’t even be able to afford a 6 pack of Miller Lights once a month.

Even you’ve been sounding a little desperate lately.

They’re meeting Tuesday. Who the hell knows? From what the Company put out they haven’t moved at all since July on the Heavy Hitter items.

Why would i want a contract and even given the choice im staying in the pension

I believe you are going to stay in the Pension if it’s offered to you actually.

Why would YOU want a contract?

# 1 because if they do offer us more than 5.5% 401K Contribution/ Match that means that they will also up the Contribution going in to your IAMPF giving you (hopefully) a larger payout.

# 2 there will be more Holliday’s paid out at Double and a Half, more sick time and at least one more week of vacation that you’re obviously eligible for.

# 3 the wages will likely be at least another $2.00 per hour on DOS which is $320.00 per month more than covering any rise in Medical costs you as a single man will be subjected to.

# 4 a few other items that have been TA’d that hasn’t been put out publicly yet.

# 5 with your Seniority even if/when rotating starts it won’t touch you by a long shot.

That’s why IMO.

Thats why they call it negotiating

We’ll see. Someone is going to have to move if they want to keep the Mediators interested in the game. Otherwise yea we all may be sitting on an ice block for awhile?

That rotating vote is up.in the air TWA guys not fond of it.We are bringing so many junior that a lot of AA guys will have weekend or part of it.

... he’s screaming every day to get out of the IAMPF.

Who could blame him? It's not nearly in as good of shape as some people think. I'd like to be out of it as well.

All a Plan Participant has to do is read the information accessible to them (not just the bullsh*t "hurray for everything" flyer we get annually.).

To my knowledge, the company has not laid out the parameters publicly. They have said the number would be limited and only those they select (dept and location) would be awarded a buyout. The company is trying to buy those votes by having it in the contract! I agree with you. It has no business being contractual for a one time transaction. There will many pissed off folks that want it that don't get it wasting a vote
Wow! Interesting. That's actually pretty sad. Too many limitations. Your right, sounds like they (company) is simply trying to tie it to a YES vote. So sad.

Swamt.....I failed to mention in my response to you that it appears the company is offering a buyout of 100K to maint. and 65K to fleet.
The total amount does not seem that bad. 100K for mechs is about right. Not sure about the 65K for fleet boys but sounds about right. What I don't like is the pick and choose by the co. Put the offer out there and let the employees pick and choose rather they will take it or leave it, period.
