Alliance partnership if merger goes through

Sorry if this has been covered in another thread, but any speculation (or anything from the company) about which alliance the merged Delta would be in? Would UA or CO/NW have problems with the "new DL" being their partner? (UA and Dl did have a shortlived FT miles agreement. Don't think it included code sharing, though).

My own USD 0.02 worth is a preference for Star.

Don't rule out oneworld. AA and a combined US/DL would have very little overlap.
